Status of compatibility with the requirements
According to the EAA (European Accessibility Act), products or services are barrier-free if they can be found, accessed and used by people with disabilities in the usual way, without particular difficulty and in principle without outside help.
We at Hemden.de are committed to ensuring the best possible digital accessibility of our website in order to provide a good website experience for everyone. The accessibility requirements result, among other things, from the Accessibility Improvement Act.
The review of compliance with the EAA requirements is based on a self-assessment carried out in the period from 25.04.2025. In the following subchapter, we list content and functions that, in our critical view, are not yet fully accessible.
Content that is not barrier-free yet
The content/functions listed below are not barrier-free and are currently being worked on:
- in some browsers, zooming up to 200% can lead to overlapping of elements
- the color contrast of the side menu may be too low across the product categories, especially on the fourth level
- the color contrast of the "top categories" on the homepage may be too low
- some links are still underlined (instead of bolded)
- the column spacing in the overview tables of individual product descriptions is too small
