The ETON story
Since 1928 ETON produces its premium shirts in the Swedish town of Gånghester in the four different cuts Classic fit, Contemporary Fit, Slim Fit and Super Slim. ETON is still a family run business and operates in its original factories in Sweden as well as in several production plants, all situated in Europe. The name ETON was given to the company however only in 1950. The name was born on one of the journeys of the two children of the founders in search for suitable fabric producers for noble shirts. On this trip to England, in these days the undisputed world leader in the production of fabrics, the two came through the town of ETON which exerted a certain fascination on them. Shortly after their return a new line, the ETON shirts, was going into production in Gånghester with the fabrics brought along from England. Already two years later the new collection was so successful that the company decided to change the name for the entire company to ETON.
ETON cuts - quality that fits
In addition to the absolute highest standards at ETON in regards to quality and durability of the shirts special attention is paid to produce fitting shirts. The aim for ETON is the every men should be able to find a fitting ETON shirt. Two darts in the back of the shirts create an elegant drape, which also contributes to the comfort of the shirt and leaving no excess fabric on the back of the shirt.

Swedish craftsmanship and attention to detail
In addition to the long tradition Swedish craftsmanship and the attention to detail with which each ETON shirt is crafted make ETON shirts unique. Each ETON shirt is composed of 45 carefully chosen, different components and sewn with an average of 12,000 stitches. Alone 160 stitches are set at ETON for seaming each buttonhole, much more than the industry standard. ETON also places absolute emphasis on the quality of the end product in the finishing processes. While the finishing process is completed within 4 days by many producers it lasts 4 weeks at ETON. For example ETON does not coat the raw fabric but changes the molecular structure of the cotton fibers in a special process in order to render the shirts resistance to wrinkles.
The ETON fabrics - each fabric a statement for itself
All ETON fabrics are made of 100% extra-long-fiber cotton which makes it easy to wear the shirts all day long. Depending on the shirt ETON uses exactly the right fabric in the sewing process. Especially the Twill fabrics at ETON are worth mentioning.
ETON Signature Twill has a subtle texture and vibrant shine. The signature twill fabric is ideal for your everyday business wardrobe. Signature Twill fabric has a characteristic diagonal structure that allows the yarns to move freely. However, the fabric is very durable and easy to iron. Carefully selected yarn also guarantees a soft fabric.
ETON Fine Twill is woven from extra fine yarn, which gives the fabric a special shine. Fine Twill is ideal for elegant business shirts. The fine yarn also allows a tighter fabric that makes it ideal for finer patterns. Compared to other fabrics Fine Twill is slightly lighter and is therefore suitable as a fabric for all seasons. Light fine twill shirts fit well to the suit. Whether your suit is made from very light wool or silk or from heavy tweed or flannel an ETON fine twill shirt always fits.
ETON Textured Twill is an excellent, heavy fabric for suit shirts or shirts worn to a sports coat. Textured Twill has an elegant texture that gives the fabric a unique visual effect. Unlike the other ETON twill fabrics the textured twill is woven with a higher thread count in both directions of the fabric. The result is a fabric with a luxurious touch. Especially when processing white and colored yarn the soft and yet sophisticated structure of the fabric is a perfect fit.
In addition to the legendary ETON twill fabrics also poplin, satin and Royal Oxford fabrics are used for ETON shirts.
